Welcome to Apiary

It is with regret to inform you that we are going to be closing Apiary, with our last trading day being Saturday 29th August.

Thank you for everyone who has supported us, and continues to do so, as we move into our final month of business.

It's been a (mostly) fun ride, but after two years of trading, during which we never made a profit and hardly paid ourselves enough to survive, we had to make the incredibly tough decision to close. It's not how we imagined our time on Norfolk Square coming to an end, but such is the economic climate we live in at the moment.

Hopefully there will be some good coming out of this, and we will work out how to continue supporting our bees & showcasing the multitude of varietal honeys out there, so we are considering this simply the end of the chapter, and not the end of the story.

We look forward to sharing one last meal or cocktail with you during the final month of August.

Our menu showcases the best, locally available produce, while our use of local & international honey varieties complements the dishes, adding more to the plate than just simple sweetness.

From smoky, woody Tasmanian Leatherwood Honey, through to bright and aromatic Spanish Orange Blossom Honey, and even our own mild and floral Sussex honey, there is more to explore than you might think.

We offer some of the most exciting and interesting drinks in town. Our cocktail menu is curated using the best ingredients available, laced with local & international honey, while our wine list showcases some of the lesser-know varieties from undiscovered regions in Europe & beyond.

We also make delicious coffee using an award-winning Brighton based coffee roaster.

Do you want to experience for yourself, the wonders of a real working beehive?

Have you dreamed about having your own colonies of bees, but are not sure if it is for you?

Did you ever wonder where your favourite honey comes from?

Well now is your chance to see up close, the wonderful world of bees!

English Wine Week 2026

To celebrate both English Wine Week, and the introduction of our very own beehives onto the Everflyht Vineyard, we are hosting a one-off special celebration of English Sparkling Wine.

Thursday 25th June - Tables available 5-7pm

3 Courses - 3 Wines - £45pp

This is going to be a super fun informal tasting of the award winning wines that are produced just the other side of the South Downs.

Spaces limited to 20 guests, so please do move fast on this one to avoid disappointment!

Bookings at Apiary

At Apiary, we are a small and intimate venue with limited tables. While we highly recommend making a reservation to secure your spot, we do reserve a few seats each day for walk-in guests. If you find that no bookings are available on your desired date or time, please feel free to enquire through the booking system below. Our team will do their best to accommodate your request and make your visit to Apiary a truly memorable one. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
