About Apiary

Apiary started as three newly acquired bee-hives located in the backend of Peacehaven, Sussex. A new hobby that was supposed to keep us supplied with honey for the home, educate us about the world of bees, & give us a reason to get out of town once a week and back into nature.

It was not long into the bee-keeping journey though, that the idea of opening a bee-inspired cafe & bar was born.

We wanted to build somewhere that provided excellent food, drink & service, while encapsulating the fascinating world of bees & honey throughout the venue.

After a lengthy search for the right site in the right location, we found what would become our new home.

We opened Apiary cafe & bar in May 2024, just opposite Norfolk Square in Brighton.

We now also have seven bee-hives, and counting.
